If you feel you might be catching something -instead of heading to medicine cabinet, consider a natural and relaxing remedy. A simple body wrap can help open up airways, soothe muscles, aid your immunity sytem and eliminate impurities. Plus, you get some much-needed rest while supporting your body’s incredible ability to restore itself.
1. Aroma Steam
Fill a bowl with stones and dispense few drops of eucalyptus essential oil into it. Place the bowl on a shelf in or on the floor of your shower, away from the direct stream of water. Let the hot water run for at least one minute to build up steam and activate the oil. Adjust the water temperature, enter the shower and relax for ten minutes in the warm water and scented steam.
Dry off and, using light upward motions, apply a body butter or lotion to hydrate your skin and stimulate your lymphatic system. Try a peppermint, eucalyptus or tea tree lotion. To warm the lotion, leave the dispenser in hot water as you’re showering.
Lay two heavy blankets out on bed and spread a sheet over the blankets. Place a soft pillow. Wrap the balnkets and sheet tightly around your torso, legs and feet. Position the pillow comfortably behind your head and neck; make sure your feet are elevated. Rest for 20-30 minutes.
4. Immune- Boosting Tea

in a french-press style coffeemaker, combine one tablespoon of dried cloves, one teaspoon of whole cardamom seeds, one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger. Add 450 ml. of boiling water and steep for 10 minutes. Strain and serve.
5. Immune Sense
When you’re feeling a little run down, have a good laugh. It may seem as effective as medicine, but laughter actually can help relax your muscles and revive your mind and body by getting your blood pumping. It raises immunoglobulin A levels in the blood, promoting white blood cell activity that enhaces the body’s natural defences and enabling you to more effectively fight off infection and viruses.
