Hazelnut Poppy Seed Cake

The combination of nuts and seeds make this cake especially tasty. Yum!





150g, butter

50g. icing sugar

1 vanilla sugar


6 eggs

200g. poppy seeds


20g. white bread crumbs

100g. sugar




1. In a large bowl, with electric mixer at high speed, beat together egg whites with sugar. 




2. In another large bowl, with electric mixer at low speed, beat together icing sugar, butter, egg yolks, vanilla, poppy seeds, grounded nuts, bread crumbs and salt just until blended. Increase speed to high.

3 Mix gently together with egg whites.

4. Pour into prepared pan.

5. Bake for about 40  mintes – 160 C.  Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes; remove from pan and invert on rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
