My Happy Morning Routine


No matter at what time and where I wake up, my every day begins the same way. Workday or weekend, at home or traveling – every morning I start on this plan. It gives me maximum energy and vitality for the whole day. For most of us, the act of getting ready for the world each morning is a blurry-eyed, caffeine-fueled affair—hardly what you’d called chic—and yet there is way where you make the whole thing appear so easy. Morning – is a time when you can find at least 15 minutes for yourself. Just try to postpone Facebook until later afternoon, prepare your clothes in the evening, etc. And over some time, those morning moments will make you and the world around better.





I try to get to bed at a reasonable hour, but it doesn’t always happen. I would have to say that I’m naturally a night owl but since having my babies, I’ve learned to get to bed earlier. I incorporate little rituals like a nighttime meditation, lighting candles, and misting my face and pillow with Calming Lavender Mist the evening before. I set my alarm depending on what I have planned for the next day, but I am usually woken quite early by my beautiful little girl. So the first thing I do in the morning is give my daughter a cuddle, than my son a cuddle:) I think that to jump from the bed and run to the bath is not really a good habit.




After brushing teeth, I pour into a large mug of water, add juice of half a lime or 1/3 of a lemon and drink it while feeding kids. Usually I drink room temperature water, sometimes hot– depends on the weather and my feelings. Water with lemon or lime juice perfectly cleanses, alkalizes and helps your digestion.




After drinking water, I am prepared to do my short workout. Morning is the perfect time for energetic movement. I have a treadmill at home so I try to run for at least 20 – 30 minutes. Exercising on an empty stomach gives a wonderful feeling of cheerfulness and tranquility, and the head becomes clear. During and after training I also drink water – so in the morning I drink about a liter of water.




Before showering, I do body brushing —this aids circulation and lymphatic drainage and it’s also a great way to exfoliate my body. I hate cold showers, but after my training I love to take cool shower. After a shower, I put on a wet body coconut, almond or olive oil, adding a few drops of fragrant essential oil – particularly I love citrus.




This is a mandatory part of the morning program. Cold-pressed organic green juice is the best. Waking up from sleep and hungry after training, the body is ready to absorb more than ever. I’m doing one of the variations of green lemonade, where the basic is always vegetables and greens, maybe apple or pear with honey. Every day I drink at least 500 ml of vegetable juice, in small sips. When time runs out I can take a bottle of juice with me. Later, when in the morning I want to eat, I drink smoothies or eat fruits.
