Nut Poppy Seed Energy Bites


These raw food bites make a wonderful snack and a healthy natural alternative to processed chocolate or other refined sugar-filled treats. Not only are they easy to make, they are also cheaper than similar raw bars available to buy.


  • 200 g almonds
  • 50 g hazelnuts
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • extra poppy seeds


  1. Process all nuts until well ground.
  2. Add honey, lemon juice, poppy seeds and salt. Mix together  until  mixture starts to clump together.
  3. Squeeze and roll the mixture into balls. Coat with the seeds  and store in the fridge.
